Announcement: New DS-Connect®:The Down Syndrome Registry Launched

Exciting announcement: the new and improved DS-Connect®: The Down Syndrome Registry is live! Originally established by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2013, DS-Connect continues to be a pivotal platform for individuals with Down syndrome, their families and researchers to collaborate and share valuable health information. DS-Connect is currently managed by the University of Colorado and offers upgraded features to better serve the Down syndrome community.

What’s New?

  • Confidential Health Surveys: Participants can complete secure, health-related surveys designed by leading Down syndrome researchers. This data contributes to a deeper understanding of Down syndrome and the development of targeted interventions for co-occurring conditions.
  • Research Participation: DS-Connect highlights new, vetted studies and clinical trials focused on individuals with Down syndrome.
  • Expert Resources: Access a curated collection of resources including healthcare guides, informative articles, links to Down syndrome organizations, and news and events from the community.

All individuals with Down syndrome, their families and researchers are invited to explore the new DS-Connect platform. Your participation is crucial in driving research that aims to improve health outcomes and enhance the quality of life for people with Down syndrome.
